Yes to all of this! (That quote from Terry Gross got me too. It’s such a common theme in this arena and many others. More or less: “When society decides that it’s time to do the right thing, we’ll reflect that. Meanwhile we’ll pretend we have no control over nor benefit from the system currently in place.”) Thank you for always illuminating things we need to be paying attention to and moving us in the direction of answers and action. I would also like to say that people don’t talk about your footnotes enough.
